Sparks and Stories

Story: Tristan and Diamond walked over to the Raccoon tribe's campfire. Only a couple people lounged in the soft grass around the crackling fire. Tristan greeted her fellow campers and then let Diamond lay in the deep grass before seating herself and lean against her horse. The little group went around telling stories about the week and then stories about their homes, childhoods and horses. Everyone was tired and happy from such an eventful week at camp. The campers and their horses had a ton of fun but everyone was ready to finally head home and sleep in a soft bed with their stable staff and greet the horses they had been missing. The fire crackled and sparks flew into the star filled sky. The campers stayed up to the early hours in the morning looking at the stars and talking. Some told smoke stories and a person or two had brought musical instruments and played them as the campers joined in with song. Tristan found herself dancing and singing along. Camping with her horse would be an experience she would never forget. She had gotten to know so many new people and make so many new friendships. Diamond grazed as he was lying down and watched the crazy campers dancing and laughing with each other. The noise from other camp ground could be heard throughout the plains. As the fires slowly died, people trudged back to bed to sleep their final night at the Teepee Trials. Tristan snuggled under her leather blankets and looked through the small opening in the top of her teepee at the stars. She sighed, she had had so much fun and she was sad it was over, but she as glad she had joined the trials. She fell asleep listening to horses nickering and the soft chatter of campers who were still awake.
